Tesla Mobile Key Review

The Tesla Mobile Key is an innovative feature that allows users to unlock and start their Tesla vehicles via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for traditional user login methods. This seamless connectivity enhances convenience for Tesla owners.

Pairing Process

To pair the mobile key with your Tesla, initiate a scan for nearby vehicles to locate your Tesla's Bluetooth name. After selecting "Pair," confirm the action on the car's display to complete the pairing process. In cases where you are unsure of your vehicle's Bluetooth name:

• If your phone has previously connected to the mobile key, access the Bluetooth settings on your phone to find the specific name and proceed with pairing.
• If it's your first time connecting, ensure the vehicle is parked in isolation from other Teslas, then execute the scan for a successful pairing.

Summoning Feature

The Summoning feature requires either the Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) or Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability purchased or subscribed to by the owner. To customize summon behavior, navigate to "Controls" -> "Autopilot" -> "Customize Summoning Behavior" and disable the "Press and Hold to Activate" option. Upon entering summoning mode, indicated by a double-flash of the headlights for 5 seconds, either the "Forward" or "Reverse" button can be used to activate summoning. In emergency situations, pulling the door handle will trigger an emergency stop.

Keyless Entry

The keyless entry feature provides effortless access to your vehicle even when the phone is locked. However, users may experience occasional failures in keyless entry due to various technical factors such as insufficient Bluetooth permissions or location restrictions. If issues arise, restarting the app may resolve these problems, excluding those related to permission settings.

Removing the Key

To remove the mobile key, it is necessary not only to unbind it within the app but also to locate and delete the key from the car's display under the "Locks" menu.
